Local tools
Tools marked “Local processing” read and process files in your browser. File contents are not uploaded to FileToast. Files and generated outputs are held in browser memory. Clear the tool or close the tab to release references. Saved downloads remain on your device. This is not a secure memory erasure guarantee.
Server conversion tools
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, and Markdown to PDF tools upload a selected file only after you confirm server processing and choose Convert. Cloudflare routes the request to a Gotenberg conversion container. The application does not intentionally save inputs or outputs to a persistent file store. Temporary working files are used during conversion and may remain until engine cleanup or container shutdown. Do not upload files if you require entirely local processing.
Website requests and operational data
Cloudflare hosts the website and processes request information such as IP addresses, browser details, timing, and response status. IP addresses may be used for rate limiting. Operational logs may record errors and request metadata; application code does not log file contents. FileToast uses Google Analytics 4 to measure website visits and interactions. When pages load, analytics data is sent to Google, which may process online identifiers and device or browser details. Public file tools need no account and use no application cookies. The private guide editor uses a secure session cookie.
Guide editor
The private guide editor stores article drafts, published content, uploaded screenshots, password hashes, and temporary sign-in sessions in Cloudflare D1. Uploaded screenshots have public image URLs. Editor sessions use a Secure, HttpOnly cookie that expires after 12 hours. The daily publishing queue releases only the article scheduled for that day.
Libraries and external links
Processing libraries are served from FileToast. Following a link to another website is subject to that website’s policies. See PDF-LIB, PDF.js, and our third-party notices.
