What this tool does

Convert selectable text from a PDF to an editable Word DOCX online in your browser. Original page design is not reconstructed. Text-based PDFs only, up to 150 selected pages. This extracts text and page order into editable paragraphs; it does not recreate the original layout, fonts, images, tables, links, or columns. Scanned pages need OCR first; password-protected PDFs are unsupported.

Convert PDF text to an editable Word document

This local PDF to Word converter extracts selectable text from your chosen pages and puts it into a DOCX file as editable paragraphs, with page breaks between source pages. It does not reproduce the PDF’s visual design. Fonts, columns, images, tables, headers, footers, and link formatting are not reconstructed; review the Word file and adjust its layout before sharing.

Use OCR for scanned PDFs

A scan stores each page as an image, so there may be no text for this converter to extract. Run OCR PDF to text first to recognize scanned words, then paste the reviewed text into Word. OCR-to-Word conversion is not part of this tool.
